Xstrata Copper requires all of its operating divisions and major development projects to publish annual Sustainability Reports describing their economic, social and environmental performance.

We are publishing 11 Sustainability Reports with 2011 Sustainable performance. In preparing our reports, we have prioritised topics or issues with the potential to affect the long-term success of our business or the sustainability of the economies, environments and communities in which we operate, i.e. our most material issues. We have sought to present a view of our sustainability performance that is accurate, clear and balanced. 

We have developed these reports using the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G3 or G3.1 Guidelines and the Mining and Metals Sector Supplement, the world’s most widely used sustainability reporting framework.
